Columbus, MN — Running Aces Harness Park, a state-of-the-art Harness Race Track and Card Room located near Forest Lake, Minn., is in search of a Racing Secretary/Director of Racing for the 2009 season.

Responsibilities include insuring an adequate horse supply, soliciting and reviewing all stall applications and making stall assignments, writing condition sheets to produce competitive races in compliance with all Minnesota Racing Commission regulations, hiring of other live racing personnel necessary to conduct the meet, and serving as liaison between the recognized local horsemen’s association and the track on matters such as the purse account.

Qalifications to include a minimum of six years of racing industry experience and at least two years as a racing official. Must be able to obtain a Minnesota Racing Commission license. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of people and management at all levels. Able to work in high paced, rapidly changing environment.
