Trainforthefuture heads to Indiana for 2009

Berne, IN — The owner of the previously Ohio-based trotting stallion standout Trainforthefuture announced that he will be standing the 2009 breeding season in the slots enriched state of Indiana at Dr. Larry J. Smith’s Hickory Ridge Farm near Berne.

The stallion’s lifetime mark is 1:55.3 with earnings of $235,944. He is sired by Donerail, out of the Joie De Vie mare Collette Lobell, a 2:00 record mare with over $250,000 in earnings and sister to Consuela Lobell, dam of world champion Mister Goal 4,1:52.2.

Trainforthefuture won the both the Dexter Cup and Currier and Ives.

His first racing crop in 2007 produced the Ohio Sires Stakes standout filly Rose Run Klassy 2,2:01.2h ($51,995).

Trainforthefuture’s addition to the Indiana trotting sires brings the opportunity to breed to the fastest record and most earnings of any Donerail sire registered there and the deepest of pedigrees.
