Caring For Kids II promotion announced

by Todd Haight, for Batavia Downs

Batavia, NY — Once again this holiday season Batavia Downs Gaming is partnering with the locally-owned Taco Bell restaurants on a promotion called “Caring for Kids II.”

On each racing date from November 10 through December 1, the last day of racing, patrons who bring a new, unwrapped toy (minimum value $5.00) to Player’s Club between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on race nights and between 12:00 Noon and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday matinees will receive an entry for a five-day, four-night cruise valued at $1,500. Patrons receive one entry for each toy donated. Taco Bell will provide free tacos to the first 300 persons donating toys.

The winner will be selected at random during a drawing following the seventh race on the December 1 evening program in the winner’s circle at Batavia Downs Gaming. The winner does not need to be present to accept the grand prize.

Last year the “Downs” collected over 350 toys for this great cause.

According to Lou DiFrancesco, Director of People Development/Partner for the Hospitality restaurant group, the owners of 29 Taco Bell restaurants, “We are excited to once again be able to help out less fortunate kids this holiday season.”

Batavia Downs Gaming harness drivers will deliver all toys collected to sick and needy kids throughout Western New York in December.
