Yonkers, NY — Jeff Gregory escorted home five winners during Yonkers Raceway’s 12 race program on Tuesday night.
Gregory began his quintet with the trotting mare Hi Po Serenade, who won the second race in 2:01 for High Point Stable and trainer Bucky Angle. The lass paid $4 as the even-money favorite.
Gregory made it consecutive victories, taking the third race pace with the lass Race Me Angel ($9.80). Dennis Laterza trains the winner, who prevailed in 1:583 for owner Dominick Notaro.
The third win of Gregory’s evening was with the pacing gelding Justin’s Magic Feat ($11.60), who sat a loose pocket in the seventh race. Stanley Kaufman owns the winner, who is trained by Jake Hartline and negotiated the mile in 1:591.
Gregory, with 11 drives on the card, then swept the $16 late double with the trotting mare Foxy Jazz ($7) and the pacing gelding Chart Carrier ($3.20). The former, trained by Art Green for co-owners Arthur and Lynn Matises, won in 2:02, while the latter, trained by Jeff Smith for Ribbonships, found paydirt in 1:57.
The 37-year-old Gregory has 269 wins this season, good for fourth in the North American dash standings.
