Lexington, KY — Ohio-based trainer Barry Langley, arguably one of the most well-liked and popular horsemen in the Buckeye State and in harness racing, died Wednesday (March 6) at the age of 33.
When Langley did not respond to friends, his body was discovered at his home in Lebanon.
As word of Langley’s death spread on Wednesday night, tributes flooded social media platforms in memory of the giant of a man who stood six feet five inches tall.
Langley started more than 2,200 horses over his training career that began in 2004, with 374 winners and $1,899,828 in purse earnings. His last winner came on Feb. 24 at Miami Valley with Always A Vision, driven by fellow Ohio native Brett Miller.
