Monroe, OH – Adamsville Road snapped a streak of six straight second place finishes to win the $36,000 featured Open trot at Miami Valley on Wednesday (April 1) night.
Leaving from post six, Adamsville Road and Luke Hanners left the gate but had to work hard to clear to the front, eventually clearing Yanks Dugout and leading the field to the quarter in :28. The field headed single file to the half until Caviar Gold got underway from fifth, flushed out by Sayinwhatimthinkin. They passed the half in :56.2, with Adamsville Road in comfortable control as they turned up the backside. Nearing three-quarters (1:24.4), Caviar Gold closed to within a length but advanced no closer and began to fade a bit around the final turn. At the top of the stretch, Adamsville Road led by a length and a half but drifted up a little on the exit of the turn, allowing Yanks Dugout to attack from the inside. The two battled down the stretch with Yanks Dugout even briefly nosing ahead but Adamsville Road fought back in the final steps and won by a nose in 1:53.1. Sayinwhatimthinkin closed for third.

It was the second win of the year for the John Melsheimer trainee. Adamsville Road has finished one-two in every start in 2026 so far. His lifetime total now stands at 29 wins.
Luke Hanners led all drivers with four wins on the card while David Miller had three wins. Rick Plano & Deb Swartz each had a training double.
Miami Valley racing action closes out the week on Thursday afternoon with a post time of 4 p.m.
