Amateur drivers’ safety program filling fast

Goshen, NY — The Delvin Miller Harness Drivers Association, the United States Trotting Association and the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame are holding a safety seminar on Sunday, April 17, at the Museum in Goshen, N.Y.

Speakers include Hambletonian winner Ray Schnittker; Thurman Munson Award winner Jason Bartlett; USHWA Rising Star Award winner Jordan Stratton; two-time Billings winner Joe Faraldo; NYS Racing & Wagering Board Judge Cami Haughton; Yonkers Raceway starter Andy Toscano; and from the USTA, T.C. Lane, County Fair Liaison and Director of Officials.

Topics will cover every facet of driving from the breathalyzer to the winner’s circle and everything in between. In addition to the formal presentations, there will be a panel discussion, Q & A as well as films provided by the USTA. The entire program will be videotaped for future use, both by the USTA and the Delvin Miller Harness Drivers Association.

Reservations for the seminar are filling fast and as seating is limited, those interested in attending are urged to call as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame is located at 240 Main Street in Goshen, New York, and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last tour 4 p.m.) Thanks to USTA support the Museum is currently offering free admission for walk-in visitors and $4.00/person for group docent-guided tours.
