Apache Dame returns to the winner’s circle

Harrington, DE — WJ McDougall Racing Inc. and Paul McDougall’s Apache Dame earned her seventh win of the year in Tuesday’s (September 13) featured $15,000 Filly and Mare Open Pace in 1:54 at Harrington Raceway.

Apache Dame captured the Harrington feature on Tuesday.

It was her second win in three starts in the top weekly event for mares. Trained by Tim Crissman, driver Ross Wolfenden surged by S F Misty late for the win. Annie McGuire N was third. The win pushed Apache Dame, a four-year-old daughter of Apaches Fame, over the $100,000 mark in seasonal earnings.

In the sub-featured $11,000 winners over pace, Toby Lynch, Jr.’s Roses Best (Steve Warrington) earned her 54th career win with a 1:54.4 triumph over Seasin and Ain’t Goin Back.

Racing continues on Wednesday with a 5:30 p.m. post time. Harrington Raceway is the proud host of the 2005 Messenger Stakes, the third leg of the Pacing Triple Crown, on October 17.
