Columbus, OH — Hunter Myers, 27, died March 20, 2025.
Mr. Myers’ passion for harness racing was evident from early in his life. Growing up in the business, he dedicated himself to his dream of becoming a driver, a passion that remained a significant part of his life.
In addition to his love for racing, Mr. Myers cherished spending time outdoors. He enjoyed tractor rides with his son, Hayden, grilling out, dining out, and retreating to his “man cave” garage. He had a special fondness for Tennessee, often finding peace and joy in the cabins there, where he could escape and unwind.
He was known for his compassion and generosity. He had a kind heart and a strong desire to help others, always looking for ways to make things better for those around him. His selflessness was a defining trait, and he continued to embody this spirit until the very end, giving the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
Mr. Myers is survived by his fiancée, Chloe Fisher; their son Hayden Myers; his parents, Mike and Kelly (nee Paas); sister, Seazon Myers-Turley (Nicholas); niece, Alayna Turley; fiancée’s parents, Mike and Coleen Dowdall; grandparents, Mike and Jama Paas; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Brenda Clemens; great-grandfather, Fred Paas; great-grandmother, Betty Paas; grandmother, Beverly Myers; and great-grandparents, Robert and Mable Fredericks.
