Aubrion Du Gers collected his llth straight win at Vincennes in the prestigious Prix D’Ete.

Aubrion du Gers had to fight for the victory, as trainer Philippe Allaire had his three-horse brigade, Charly du Noyer, Traders and Bird Parker ready for the race. The Allaire trio saw to it that Aubrion du Gers never had a dull moment in the race. At first it was Charley du Noyer, who challenged Aubrion du Gers for the lead. Then came Traders to take over, but every time Aubrion du Gers came back and was in command going into the stretch.

Here the last Allaire-weapon, Bird Parker driven by Jean Philippe Monclin came to attack Aubrion du Gers, but failed to go by.

Aubrion du Gers won the 1/11-16-mile event by half a length in a new race record of 1.54.2 (mile rate).

The purse for the winner was $105,000. This was win number 37 from 61 races for Aubrion du Gers, who now has lifetimes earnings of $2.3 million.

At the Norwegian Derby sale a filly, Supercute, was sold for $85,500. The pedigree says Hambletonian, as Muscle Hill is her sire and Bold And Fresh her dam. This is the second foal from Bold And Fresh, who won the Hambletonian Oaks in 2010 – her first foal from 2016 is a filly, Wow, sired by Trixton.

The Swedish trainer Ola Samuelsson bought Supercute and said afterwards, that the plan is to ship her to the United States to race next year. Supercute is already entered in several stake races.
