Freehold, NJ — Alex Brown, author of “Greatness and Goodness: Barbaro and His Legacy” will speak at and sell copies of his book at the National Standardbred Horse Show to be held Sunday (August 21) at The New Jersey Horse Park between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
A portion of proceeds will benefit the work of the show’s sponsor, The Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization, which promotes off track use of Standardbreds.
Brown, a native of England, is a Thoroughbred exercise rider with an MBA, who has also taught internet marketing at the graduate level and worked in admissions at the prestigious Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Brown also blogs for the New York Times and is an advocate for equine welfare. He is a prolific user of social media and has 2,000 Twitter followers and 11,000 Facebook friends.
