MacDonalds partner for Batavia hat trick
The father-son team of trainer Ronald MacDonald and driver Brett MacDonald have had a very successful season at Batavia Downs this year, but Wednesday (Sept. 23) was especially notable as they teamed up to win three races on the program, including the featured event. That race saw Gentrify bring economic growth to the coffers of the punters who backed her in the featured $12,000 AA-Open Pace for distaff participants after she made it look easy and crushed the competition.
Delaware (Ohio) hosts fifth Buckeye Series leg for rookie pacers
The Delaware (Ohio) County Fair hosted three $20,000 fifth-leg divisions of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 2-year-old male pacers as part of a 21-race card on Wednesday (Sept. 23).

Don’ttouchmytruck (Racing Hill-Age of Consent) and driver Kody Massey paced the fastest mile of the meet for the second consecutive week with a 1:54.1 win in Wednesday’s (Sept. 23) featured $14,000 Open Pace at Northville Downs at Barry Expo Center.
On To Norway heads Caesars Trotting Classic field
The stage is set for one of Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s signature nights on Friday (Sept. 25), with more than $1.35 million in purses on the line. The headlining event is the $200,000 Grade 2 Caesars Trotting Classic, presented by Kountry Lane Standardbreds, where North America’s fastest trotter, On To Norway, will look to hold serve on his home track.
