Delaware County Fair hosts BSS male trot
A total of $140,000 was up for grabs as the Delaware County Fair hosted the fifth leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series for male trotters on the third day of its five-day meet in Delaware, Ohio, on Tuesday (Sept. 16). The 15-race card featured three $20,000 divisions of sophomores and four $20,000 divisions of freshmen.

On Tuesday (Sept. 16), the Red Mile hosted eight $50,000 Kentucky Golden Rod Series finals. The red clay oval was not kind to the public’s top selections as only two managed to make it to the winner’s circle. It was, however, a great day for the wagering public, led by 72-1 long shot Boots N Beer.

Lexus Kody headlines Caesars Trotting Classic
The fields were drawn Tuesday (Sept. 16) for two of Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s signature events — the $179,500 Harrah’s Hoosier Park Pacing Derby, and $200,000 Caesars Trotting Classic presented by Kountry Lane Standardbreds — which will take place Friday (Sept. 19). Two full fields of 10 will go postward, with the red-hot Lexus Kody headlining Friday night’s trotting feature.
Big Ranger stays undefeated with OBC score
Two of Ohio’s top freshman colt trotters, Big Ranger and Ready Russell, finally clashed in the same division of the $140,440 Ohio Breeders Championship on Tuesday (Sept. 16) at the Delaware (Ohio) County Fairgrounds.
