Joe Lee turned away all challengers while on the lead to go pillar to post with 11-1 shot Massive Matter and win the $10,000 American Harness Drivers Club (AHDC) trot at Mohegan Pennsylvania’s Pocono Downs on Sunday night (July 20).

Freshman filly trotters made a stop at MGM Northfield Park on Sunday (July 20) in the second leg of the $50,000 Ohio Sires Stakes with driver Dan Noble and trainer Erv Miller winning two of the three divisions.

Running Aces featured two major events on the Sunday (July 20) harness racing program.

Two-year-old pacing fillies, many of whom had raced at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania last Sunday (July 13) in a Pennsylvania All-Stars event, came right back in seven days to contest $238,266 offered over three PA Sire Stakes divisions and five PA Stallion Series section in their second preliminary leg.

On a sweltering evening in the Bluegrass, the Kentucky Proud Series finals produced some sizzling results with a mix of favorites and longshots hitting the finish line first on Sunday (July 20).

At the Enghien track in Paris, the Italian 4-year-old Frank Gio (sired by Face Time Bourbon) with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike returned to the winner’s circle while the 3-year-old Ginostrabliggi with Gabriele Gelormini surprisingly had to settle for second place.

Driver Tyler Miller won four races, including the featured $16,000 Open Trot with Duly Resolved, at Tioga Downs on Saturday (July 19).

Just two races into his career, freshman pacing colt Beau Jangles is already building an impressive resume in the Ontario Sires Stakes program.

With an adventurous trip through the first three-quarters of a mile, Lyons Surfing finally said “aloha” to the field in Buffalo Raceway’s $16,000 Open Pace on Saturday afternoon (July 19) with a 4-1/4 length victory over Born A Rebel in 1:55.4 over the fast track.
