Sunday’s (April 6) three major races in Turin were all won by horses trained by Alessandro Gocciadoro. Gocciadoro himself drove the winners in the Derby del 4 Anni races, while Gabriele Gelormini secured victory in the Gran Premio Costa Azzurra—resulting in a double triumph for the stable.

The Swedish Trotting Gala on Saturday evening in Stockholm was a major triumph for 34-year-old trainer Daniel Wäjersten from Bergsåker, who had seven nominations in total.

Conventional harness racing wisdom tells us that when a horse is moving well unpressured on the lead in a short field, it should be a done deal that’s the winner.
