The 2025 Illinois harness racing season got underway Tuesday afternoon (May 13) in Springfield with its popular Spring Preview for state-bred horses ages three and up. With 104 entries, a 17-race program was held, each with an equally divided $4,126 purse at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
