Jazmin “the Little Flower” Arnold is really beginning to make a name for herself. The diminutive lady from Xenia, Ohio, just keeps doing what she knows best and that is driving winners in the Midwest region of the Billings Trotting Series.

The Florida Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association sponsored Stallion Stakes highlighted the Sunday (Nov. 10) program at Pompano Park with those festivities punctuated by presentations to Rick Plano and Fern Paquet Jr. for their recent milestones.

Two of the world’s most successful drivers, Ôrjan Kihlström and Jorma Kontio, shared the honors in the four Swedish Breeders Crown races Sunday afternoon (Nov. 10) at the track in Eskilstuna, as they won two races each.

On Friday and Saturday (Nov. 8-9), young adults from across the country gathered in Columbus, Ohio, for the inaugural USTA Youth Delegate Summit. Seven USTA Youth Delegates participated in the two-day event, which included an evening of team-building activities, a tour of Virgil Morgan Jr.’s Winners Circle Training Center, and a visit to Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway.

Pollack Racing and Jeff Cullipher’s Endeavor, an 11-1 longshot, wore down heavily-favored Breeders Crown winner American History down the stretch to win Sunday’s (Nov. 10) $100,000 Potomac Pace by a neck over Dealt A Winner at Rosecroft.

Gilbert Garcia-Owen padded his lead atop the Harrah’s Philadelphia trainer standings with three wins on Sunday afternoon’s (Nov. 10) 12-race card.

Harrah’s Hoosier Park concluded the 26th season of live harness racing with a 13-race card in front of a packed house on Saturday (Nov. 9). In addition to the racing action, the leading driver and trainer titles were awarded. On the driving side, Trace Tetrick secured his sixth consecutive and eighth leading driver title at Hoosier Park. Jeff Cullipher, who took home Hoosier Park’s top training honors in 2017 and 2018, was officially recognized as the leading trainer of the 2019 season.

Donttellmeagain, a 5-year-old male pacer with $779,011 in lifetime earnings, was the top seller at Friday’s final session of the Standardbred Horse Sale, purchased for $400,000 by Jon Paton. The gelding was one of six horses to sell for at least $250,000 during the second day of the auction’s mixed sale.

Lucius Vorenus picked up another win at Freehold Raceway on Friday (Nov. 8) as he took the second leg of the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey trotting series by three-quarters of a length.
