Dan Patch Awards weekend to include Saturday Diamond Creek poolside reception
The U.S. Harness Writers Association and Diamond Creek Farm would like to invite all attendees to the upcoming Dan Patch Awards weekend at Rosen Centre in Orlando, Fla., to an outdoor cocktail reception on Saturday (Feb. 24). Kleinhans and Beltrami victorious in MADC races at the Big M
With unseasonably warm mid-40 degree temperatures at the start of the Friday night (Feb. 9) Meadowlands card, three MADC races were carded, and the action was hot and well bet as always. The first two finishes featured photos with the winning margin just a nose and neck, respectively.
Buddy Earl wins again at Big M
Things didn’t go as hoped, but as it turned out, that didn’t matter, as Buddy Earl racked up a second straight score Friday night (Feb. 9) at The Meadowlands, taking the $15,000 featured mid-range conditioned trot.
First 2024 qualifiers at Pocono set to go Monday morning
Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania is set to start its 2024 harness racing season, as on Friday the fields for 11 qualifying races, the first action of the year at the mountain oval, were drawn. These qualifying races begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, that day also featuring the first draw for the resumption of pari-mutuel races, which will be held on Saturday (Feb. 20) at 1 p.m.
Girouard looking forward to Big M return
When Michael Girouard climbs into the sulky for Friday’s (Feb. 9) first race at The Meadowlands, it will be the Massachusetts native’s first drive at the Big M in 19 years. His next will come much quicker, just several hours later.
