M-M’s Dream and driver David Miller ignored the rain and sloppy surface and went on to easily capture the $250,000 Bob Miecuna Invitational Trot on Saturday afternoon at MGM Yonkers Raceway. The race contested at one and a quarter miles was completed in 2:24.4 over the off going.

Vivid Wise As, representing Italy in Saturday’s $1 million MGM Yonkers International Trot at MGM Yonkers Raceway, took advantage of a quick start to get the lead from post one, repelled multiple challengers throughout, and drew off in the closing stages to win the race in 2:23.1 over the distance of 1-1/4 miles.

Friday night (Sept. 8) Northville Downs hosted Michigan Sire Stakes finals action with stakes purses totaling $666,000 that included four non-wagering finals for the four pacing divisions and then the pari-mutuel program contested the four trotting divisions.

Daley duo look to add New Jersey Classic titles to resumes
Noel Daley liked Buy A Round from the moment he began training the female trotter, particularly because she reminded him of past stable star Cedar Dove. The 2-year-old filly has done little to change Daley’s opinion since the beginning of her campaign, winning three of four races, including the New Jersey Sire Stakes championship a month ago. On Friday at The Meadowlands, Buy A Round will be one of four NJSS champs looking to add a New Jersey Classic final to their list of accomplishments. Daley also trains one of the other three, 2-year-old male trotter Sig Sauer.
