Trainer Tony Alagna reaches 2,000 win milestone
Tony Alagna got career training win 2,000 on Sunday (June 18) when Saldana Hanover won the fifth race at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania. George Napolitano Jr. was in the sulky. The 3-year-old filly is a daughter of Captaintreacherous, who was Pacer of the Year for Alagna in 2012 and 2013 before becoming one of the sport’s prominent sires.
Steven High, 67, dies
Steven A. High, 67, of Cardington, Ohio, died June 16, 2023, peacefully at home after an 11-month battle with cancer.
