• Bigmacwithcheese wins at Dresden

    Dresden, ON - Stiletto Blue Chip was the winner of the first division of the Mark Austin Pacing Series Eliminations today (June 27) at Dresden Raceway. The three-year-old American Ideal filly went wire-to-wire for JR Plante after favorite, Shes A Comedian made a break behind the gate. Stiletto Blue Chip posted fractions of :28, :55.4, 1:25.2 for the win in 1:58. Mike Timpano is the conditioner for owners, Wendy Warren-Timpano, Frank Tucci and Seaspray Stables. Shes Got The Luck was second while Shes A Comedian finished third.
  • Golden Kronos wins Open Trot at Tioga

    Nichols, NY - Golden Kronos ($6.40) went straight to the lead but Lightfootedlegend (Renaldo Morales III) took over just before hitting the first quarter in :28.1. Golden Kronos took back the lead as they headed for the stands for the first time on Sunday (June 27). He led to the half in :58.2 using a :30.1 second quarter. Lightfootedlegend popped out of the pocket and made a challenge as they headed for the paddock turn. Golden Kronos held the lead to three-quarters in 1:26.0.
  • Corbin at Red Mile harness meet launching July 4

    Lexington, KY - The reaction from standardbred horsemen to Kentucky gaining an additional harness meet has been overwhelming. Now the problem facing racing secretary Kevin Mack is trying to accommodate as many stables as possible for The Red Mile meet that will serve as a prelude to Kentucky’s third harness track. The 12-date meet runs Sunday July 4 through July 27, with racing on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays over the famed Red Mile’s red-clay oval in Lexington. Post time will be 1 p.m. EDT.

On Wednesday afternoon (June 23) Robyn Camden, the Rob Harmon trainee who has been a dominant force in the local Fillies and Mares Open did not disappoint today. On Wednesday afternoon (June 23) Surreal Feeling wasn’t in town and Robyn Camden took full advantage.
  • Take All Comers, Delayed Hanover PA Sire Stake winners at Philly

    Chester, PA – Give full credit to Take All Comers for authoring a powerful 1:53.2 victory in one of two divisions of the third prelim of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for three-year-old trotting colts on Wednesday (June 23) afternoon at Harrah’s Philadelphia, but capturing as much attention was the early-race break of Captain Corey, the 2020 divisional Sire Stakes champion and an easy winner in his 2021 bow.
  • Sophomores impress in Philly Wednesday features

    Chester, PA – The very popular “non-winners of 3 races” class for developing horses was certainly utilized by horsemen entering for the Wednesday (June 16) card at Harrah’s Philadelphia, as six $12,600 divisions filled the feature spotlight: two each for trotters, pacing males, and pacing mares. All of the winners turned out to be three-year-olds.
