Clifton, VA – The connections of Call Me Goo, one of the most accomplished trotting mares of her generation, announced Thursday (Jan. 8) her retirement from racing and her transition to a new career as a broodmare. The brilliant trotting mare leaves the track as a millionaire, a multiple stakes winner, and a record-setter in North America.

Call Me Goo retires with career earnings of more than $1.15 million and a lifetime record that includes 25 wins from 46 starts, along with numerous top-three finishes against the best mares in North America. Her résumé features multiple stakes victories, including marquee wins in the Breeders Crown Open Mare Trot, where she holds the stakes record, the Armbro Flight, the Allerage Farms Mare Trot, the Six Pack Mare Trot, and legs of the Miss Versatility Series.
In 2024, Call Me Goo was honored with the prestigious O’Brien Award as Older Trotting Mare, recognizing a season in which she won half of her 14 starts and captured the $496,000 Breeders Crown in a career-best performance. The Googoo Gaagaa mare again earned recognition as a 2025 O’Brien Award finalist in the same division, underscoring her sustained excellence at the highest level of competition.
In this year’s Maple Leaf Trot, she crossed the line in a dazzling mile of 1:50.1, the fastest trotting time ever recorded by a mare in Canada, further cementing her status as a truly exceptional performer. That performance, combined with her consistent Grand Circuit form, established Call Me Goo as a benchmark for speed and class among modern trotting mares.
As she begins the next chapter of her career, Call Me Goo will be bred to the world-class trotting stallion Chapter Seven, one of the sport’s most influential sires of elite trotters. This highly anticipated mating combines her proven race record and toughness with Chapter Seven’s legacy of producing top-level performers with both speed and durability.
Graham Grace Stables’ Dr. Adam Ainspan commented:
“She has been an absolute joy. Her athleticism and sweet temperament are unmatched. What makes this especially meaningful is that she’s our homebred, descending from our sire Great George Two’s lineage: and of course, her Maryland-raised sire Googoo Gaagaa. All credit for her development and success goes to Bib Roberts and the entire Roberts family, Jason and Susan Skinner and their family, Ake and Sarah Svanstedt, and Stine Holm. We’re forever grateful to everyone who played a part in her incredible journey.”
