At the annual Solvalla Yearling Sale held at the racetrack Tuesday evening (Aug. 13) a colt sired by the deceased Bar Hopping, Talisman Zon, fetched the top price at 2.5 million SEK or US$237,500.
Six yearlings were sold for over 1 million SEK — or $96,000.
The average price at the sale was up 2.6 percent compared to last year and ended at 411,500 SEK — or $39,500.
Among the ten highest priced yearlings were just two fillies.
On another note, Cantab Hall was the broodmare sire of no less than five of the ten most expensive yearlings.
