Batavia, NY — The 2016 live harness racing meet at Batavia Downs gets underway on Monday (July 25) at 6:15 p.m. and the draw for that initial card will be held this Thursday (July 21).

Opening night will feature the $100,000 New York Sire Stakes for 2-year-old trotting fillies and those horses will also need to be declared that day.

Entries can be made by calling Race Secretary Joe Zambito directly at 585.344.6161 or online through the USTA entry service. The box closes at 9 a.m.

Condition sheets for the entire first week of racing are now available at www.bataviadownsgaming.com by selecting “Live Racing” and then “Horsemen.”

A total of 70 live racing cards will be held during the 2016 meet, which will run through Saturday (Dec. 10).
