Lexington, KY — On Tuesday (Aug. 19) Beautiful Memory, Bahama Momma and Caviart Daisy renew their rivalry in the $80,000 third round leg of the Kentucky Championship Series for freshman filly pacers. The 15-race program also consists of two $35,000 second round legs of the Kentucky Sire Stakes for older male and female trotters and pacers. Third round action also continues for 2-year-old pacing fillies with two $30,000 divisions of the Kentucky Commonwealth Series, three $15,000 divisions of the Kentucky Golden Rod Series and two $10,000 divisions of the Kentucky Wildcat Series.
Freshman fillies prepared to square off again in Championship Series
Beautiful Memory (Marvin Luna), Caviart Daisy (Andrew McCarthy) and Bahama Momma (Scott Zeron) will commence their mile in the sixth race from post positions six, seven and eight. The three fillies are 6-1, 9-2 and 5-2 on the morning line in an eight-horse field.

Trained by Tony Alagna, Beautiful Memory finished fourth behind the aforementioned duo in the last round of the Championship Series on Aug. 10 after springing a 65-1 upset over the same in the first leg on July 29 to break her maiden.
The daughter of Perfect Sting and Breeders Crown winner Reflect With Me sports a record of 4-1-0-1 and has earned $51,400.
The filly was bred by Brittany Farms and was a $250,000 yearling at last year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale for owners Micki Rae Stables and Riverview Racing.
Caviart Daisy, trained by Jamie Sullivan, kicked off her career with three consecutive triumphs in Kentucky Sire Stakes company at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel. Her last victory was in the $100,000 final over that surface on July 14 in a career best 1:51. Since arriving in Lexington, the daughter of Sweet Lou-Caviart Darlin’ has finished third and second in this series behind Beautiful Memory and Bahama Momma.
Bred by Caviart Farms, the filly’s record is 5-3-1-1 and she has banked $119,600 which is the most earned in this field of young ladies.
Caviart Daisy’s dam collected less than $10,000 on the racetrack but all four of her foals are winners including this filly’s half sister Caviart Delight (Always B Miki, $152,517).
Brought home from last year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale for $27,000 by Frank Chick, Caviart Daisy’s second dam is the champion Darlin’s Delight who is just as prolific in her second career as in her first. Caviart Daisy’s dam is a half sister to the outstanding Darlinonthebeach in addition to four other siblings to break the $100,000 barrier in earnings.
Last but certainly not least is Bahama Momma. Hailing from the shedrow of Joe Bongiorno, the daughter of 2021 Horse of the Year Tall Dark Stranger and champion Idyllic Beach brings a resume of 4-3-1-0 into this event and a bank account of $106,221.
The filly hit the line in front of her two foes in a new mark of 1:51.1 in their last engagement on Aug. 10 with the only blemish on her record at the hooves of Beautiful Memory.
Bred by Christina Takter, Marvin Katz and Brixton Medical Inc., Bahama Momma was a private purchase by Let It Ride Stables and Odds On Racing.
Kentucky champions Dame Good Time, Date Night Hanover return in series for older horses
Trained by Rene Sejthen, Dame Good Time will be making his first pari-mutuel appearance this season when steered by Zeron in this event. The 4-year-old son of Chapter Seven-Dame Du Lac is 5-2 on the morning line and will begin trotting from post position four in the field of nine.
Competing as a homebred for John Cummings, the gelding has always been formidable if he is on his game as he proved by defeating Hambletonian winner Karl by a neck in last year’s final.
Dame Good Time has amassed $605,916 in purse money with a record of 22-7-2-3 while appearing in a number of the sport’s elite stakes.
Two-time Kentucky champion Date Night Hanover (Dexter Dunn) seeks her first win of the season in her seventh start after a sojourn out East. The 4-year-old daughter of Chapter Seven-Don’t Wait Up has been knocking hooves with males in the Graduate Series and the Hambletonian Maturity at The Meadowlands for trainer Alagna.
The mare is 7-2 on the morning line and was assigned post position seven in the field of nine.
Owned by Jeffrey Snyder and ONDA Racing Stable, Date Night Hanover was bred by Hanover Shoe Farms. She was the $600,000 sales topper on the first day of the 2022 Standardbred Horse Sale.
The mare has banked $830,496 with a record of 34-9-3-6.
