Saratoga Springs, NY — Following a four-win effort on Tuesday, Brett Beckwith made six more trips to the Saratoga Casino Hotel winner’s circle on Wednesday (Feb. 26), including a sweep of the card’s $9,500 co-featured races.
Beckwith, who last weekend accepted the United States Harness Writers Association’s Rising Star Award on the power of driving titles at both Saratoga and Plainridge Park, drove Swiss Cotton to his third win in four seasonal tries for trainer Melissa Beckwith in an event for non-winners of six races lifetime. The 4-year-old son of Tellitlikeitis stuck to the pylon path throughout the mile before closing up the passing lane to score in 1:56.4. The other co-feature saw Beckwith drive 1-9 favorite Legal Attack to a coast-to-coast, 1:56.4 victory for trainer Jaymes McAssey.
Live racing at Saratoga resumes Sunday (March 2); first post is 12 noon.
