Betterthancheddar won the 2011 Breeders Crown for 3-year-old male pacers.

Trainer Casie Coleman said she is hopeful a deal to stand him at stud can be made.

Betterthancheddar (Bettor’s Delight-Lady Ashlee Ann) won 19 times in 33 trips to the post in his career, with earnings of $1,634,314.

He banked $777,283 as a 3-year-old and won the Breeders Crown, the Cane Pace and the American-National. Last year at age 4, he added another $799,936 to his coffers and won the Ben Franklin Pace and the Bobby Quillen Memorial.

In just four starts this year, Betterthancheddar had one second and one third, with earnings of $57,095.

He was bred by Winbak Farm and is owned by Steve Calhoun and Coleman’s West Wins Stable.
