Columbus, OH — Former USTA member Beverly “Joyce” Keeler, 90, of Blackbird, Del., died at her home on Nov. 11, 2024.
She was born May 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Frank and Elsie O’Neal.
Mrs. Keeler retired from the State of Delaware where she had worked at Legislative Hall in Dover. She was a charter member of the Blackbird Community Center and one of its longest living members.
She has played her last card game and gone on to join her husband, Victor; son, Wesley; granddaughter, Teresa; and great-grandson, Wesley Crow.
She is survived by her children, Victor (Linda), Suzanne, and Daniel (Tammy); grandchildren, Dink (Mandy) Sawyer, Victor, Daniel (Wendy), Jennifer (Doug) Bartsch, Jamie, Cody, and Amber Smith; great-grandchildren, Mariah Otero, Promise Rowlands, Ian, Ryan Sawyer, Allie Crow, and Ava; three great-great grandchildren; and many friends, including her best friend, Ruby Dillmore.
If you knew this amazing lady, you’ve probably been at her kitchen table talking politics, horse racing, or getting help with something. She will be missed by many.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, one of her favorite charities.
