Bloomsburg, PA — Eight Bloomsburg Stakes events were slated at the Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania Fairgrounds on Monday (Sept. 27). Colt trotters won the first two…but Mother Nature won the rest.

In the first $3,425 division of the Bloomsburg Stake for freshman colt troters, KT Tag I’m It scored over a sloppy half-mile oval in 2:11.1. Ken Weaver owns and trains the Tagliabue gelding, while Eddie McNeight earned the winning drive. KT Tag I’m It went wire-to-wire by a little over five lengths. Chips A Cumin (Chip Chip Hooray) finished second, while KC Williemakeit (SJ’s Caviar) was third.

The second division was won by Keystone Wild Card, trained and driven by Todd Schadel. The SJ’s Caviar colt led at every post, trotting in 2:09 for owners Schadel, Max Hempt, Bradly Graffius and John Frisch. Unbeatable Hanover (SJ’s Caviar) and Linus B Worthy (Cantab Hall) rounded out the top three.

After the second race, the decision was made to cancel the remainder of the card due to weather and track conditions.

Weather permitting, 3-year-olds will be in action on Tuesday (Sept. 28) in seven Bloomsburg Stakes.
