Vernon, NY – Bluesville (Ron Harp) captured the featured $7,500 pace a tVernon Downs on Saturday (Aug. 2).
Bluesville led to the quarter in :28.1. He used a :30.0 second quarter to be first to the half in :58.1. War Of Will (Josh Kinney) was first to make a move but couldn’t get near the leader. Bluesville led to three-quarters in 1:26.1.
As they reached the stretch, second place finisher Prospectors Gold (Chris Long) went all out after the leader, but Bluesville was too strong and won in 1:54.1. Galactic Storm (Jimmy Whittemore) finished third.
Bluesville is a 6-year-old horse by Huntsville. He is owned by the Big Sky Ranch and trained by Harp. It was his fourth win this season. He now has 23 career victories. Josh Kinney had a driving double. John MacDonald had a training double.
