Harrington, DE — Daniel and Thomas Courtemanche’s Bobnoxious earned his third win in four starts and ninth of the year with a 1:53.1 triumph in the $18,500 Open Pace on Monday at Harrington Raceway. Trained by Sam Beegle, the five-year-old Nude Beach stallion outfought pacesetting Ashlee’s Big Guy (Ross Wolfenden) to the wire in a tight photo finish. Chewy Gross was third. The win makes Bobnoxious’ case that much stronger for a spot in the June 20 $135,000 First State Free For All, an invitational event for top older pacers. Bobnoxious has now earned $144,400 in 2005, which ranks him ninth among all pacers in North America for seasonal earnings. Green Racing’s Dreamfair Titan ($4.40) fought off a game first-over Dream Wave for a 1:53.3 win in the $16,500 Delaware Special. It was the fifth win of the year for the five-year-old Run the Table stallion, whose seasonal bankroll soared to more than $70,000. Next Flight closed late for third. In winners over competition, Lauren Allen’s Canaco Le Noblet (1:54.3) controlled the pace and won wire-to-wire with driver Brad Hanners aboard. R. Wayne Pryor and Wendy Crissman’s Big Underdog (1:54.2) and Greg Simendinger’s High Calibre N (1:54.4) each won their divisions. Total handle exceeded $893,000 on the program, the second highest in track history. The record of $898,683 was set the previous Monday, on May 23.
