Hamburg, NY — It was a picture perfect afternoon at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday (March 19) with clear skies and the temperature hovering in the mid-70s. As perfect as the day was, it was just as perfect for Bolt Of Beauty ($18.20) as she looked super in posting a 2-1/4-length victory over Big Bad Mosa in the featured $10,500 event for distaff pacers.
Dropping down from the Open I-II level for fillies and mares, Bolt Of Beauty (David McNeight III) started from post three and had a brief tussle with Big Bad Mosa before clearing to the top. From there, Bolt Of Beauty was a model of consistency through the opening three panels as she used three consecutive splits of :29. But in the final quarter mile, she kicked it up a notch and went :28 in collecting the 1:55 nod. Big Bad Mosa (Kevin Cummings) took the place position with McVera (Shawn McDonough) rolling in for third.

Trained by David Russo, the 8-year-old Bolt Of Beauty (Bolt The Duer-Natural Luck) is owned by Going On Drive LLC. The win was her first in seven attempts this season, jumping her 2025 bankroll to $15,620 and her lifetime bankroll to $403,504.
McNeight and Drew Monti each had triples in the afternoon with Mike Baumeister and Kyle Swift each registering two wins. Chris Petrelli had three training victories with Michael Ohol and David Russo getting two apiece.
Racing will return at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon (March 22) with a solid 14-race program set. The $14,000 Open Trot and Open Pace will go off as the seventh and eighth races, respectively.
