Boomer Berman was a 2:01 winner on Sunday.
Boomer Berman used a thrilling come from behind approach for his 85th career victory.
Betting favorite Splendid Les, driven by Kevin Cummings, set all the fractions and had a six length lead at the three-quarter pole. Regular driver Jack Flanigen settled Boomer Berman in last at the start of the race. Using cover from Catch That Yank, Boomer Berman made his move on the backstretch and at the three-quarter mark was up to third. Having to go wide in the final turn he overtook the leader in the stretch and never looked back.
