Nichols, NY – Leading driver Braxten Boyd continues to impress as he won six of the 10 races at Tioga Downs on Friday (June 27).
Boyd got his wins with Bella Bianca, Prairie Kitten, Prairie Magical, Miley Rose, Flower Shops, and I’m Burlington N. He has accumulated 66 wins already this season at Tioga.
Talbotcreekwhiskey (Ridge Warren) captured the $24,000 Jack Rossi Claiming Series Pace final.

Talbotcreekwhiskey ($8.80) took the early lead but that was short lived as Double Up N (Tyler Miller) took control just before hitting the quarter first in :26.4. He led to the half in :55.4. Third-place-finisher I’m A Big Shot (Mike Merton) was first to make a move going first-up heading down the backstretch. Double Up N was first to three-quarters in 1:23.4.
As they reached the stretch Talbotcreekwhiskey came flying three-wide to win in 1:54.1. Seeyou At Thebeach (Dan Rawlings) came charging late to finish second.
Talbotcreekwhiskey is a 10-year-old gelding by Somebeachsomewhere. He is owned by Nicholas Sodano and trained by Cameron Capone. It was his third win this season and his 32nd career victory.
Jack Rossi was a longtime associate judge at Tioga Downs.
Capone had a training hat trick. Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (June 28) with a post time of 6:15 p.m. (EDT). For more information go to www.tiogadowns.com.
