Buck Nome reasserts in lane, wins Meadows feature; Palone wins five

Washington, PA — Passed in the final turn, Buck Nome dug in, reasserted in the lane and captured Thursday’s (May 2) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $13,000 claiming handicap trot.

Buck Nome quarter-poled to the top for Spencer Kahrig but was challenged by the first-over Pembroke Regal, who edged ahead as the field turned for home but could not completely clear. Under Kahrig’s urging, Buck Nome found more and scored in 1:54.3. HS Winchester shot the Lightning Lane for second, three-quarters of a length back, with Angeliki third.
