Buckeye Stallion Series freshman pacers at the Delaware County Fair Thursday

Grove City, OH — Thursday (Sept. 17) plans to be a busy day at the Delaware County Fair. It will be a great day of racing. Among all the top races of the day, the Buckeye Stallion Series 2-year-old pacers will conclude with their last leg before the final.

Races one and four are the filly races and colts will be in races six, nine and 12.

The first division of 2-year-old filly pacers will begin the day and Atlantic Star (Cheyenne Rei-Atlantic Filly), trained by Sandra Hennessey, has won her division in two legs of the Buckeye Stallion Series so far. She has also won in five Ohio Fair Stake races. Cookies Empire (Pet Rock-La Diavla) won her division of the series in leg one and has seven Ohio Fair Stake wins this summer. Cookies Empire is trained by Steve Carter. My Hearts Rockin (Rockin Amadeus-My Sweet Lorelei), trained by C. Brian Loney, won her division of the series at Urbana and has three Ohio Fair Stake wins. Another filly, Officially My Way (Art Official-Eagle Way) will be racing in her first Buckeye Stallion Series race. She has had a great summer at the fairs with eight Ohio Fair Stake wins out of 14 starts. Officially My Way is trained by Ron Randall.

Mcstunning (McArdle-In The Green), trained by Kurt Sugg, is in race four. She won her division in leg two of the Buckeye Stallion Series. Ifeellikesassy (Pet Rock-Ifeellikelaughing), trained by Ron Potter, has a win from leg three at Urbana. Another Pet Rock filly will make her first appearance in the Buckeye Stallion Series, Heythere Lisamarie (Pet Rock-Sunshine State). This filly is no stranger to fair racing though as she has 11 Ohio Fair Stake race wins. She is trained by Steve Carter.

The freshman pacing colts’ first race is race six. Two colts in this race, Bom Bay Rock (Pet Rock-Four Starzzzz Hope) and Ohio Vintage (Western Vintage-Little Betty) both won their series division in leg three at Urbana. Bom Bay Rock is trained by Timothy Wilson Jr. and Ohio Vintage is trained by C. Brian Loney.

The colts in race nine have been racing in the Ohio Fair Stakes. Big Booty Rudy (Big Bad John-Lima Daydream), trained by Eric Nesselroad, and Beachesbeckonme (Pet Rock-Grandma Helen), trained by Jimmy Smith, both have four Ohio Fair Stake wins. Petacular Rock (Pet Rock-Ballroom Princess) has won his last three starts which brings him to six Ohio Fair Stake wins. He is trained by Earl Ownings.

Bllack Hole (Mr Apples-Feel The Thunder), trained by Clarence Foulk, is in race 12. He won his division in leg one of the series and has two Ohio Fair Stake wins. Whatdawhat Ken Win (Pine Valley-Raque Ken Win) has won his last two starts (Upper Sandusky and Scioto Downs). Out of his nine starts this year, eight of them have been in the top two placings. He has five Ohio Fair Stake wins. Whatdawhat Ken Win is trained by Ray Belt.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association would like to thank the Delaware County Fair for hosting the last leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series this week. Points earned will be tabulated following the fair and posted at www.ohha.com. The Buckeye Series final will be held at Northfield Park on Oct. 6.
