Melrose Park, IL — Fans of the Chicagoland area racing circuit will have the chance to build up a nice bankroll over the coming nights as both Maywood Park and Balmoral Park will offer carryovers in several of their gimmick wagers.

Starting on Thursday night (August 6) those fans betting into the action at Maywood Park will have a Pick 4 carryover of $1,537.14 to start the night. The Pick 4 entails races two through five at Maywood Park with post time for the second tentatively scheduled for 7:40 p.m. (central).

The Pick 5 wager at Maywood, which goes on races five through nine, will also feature a carryover of $4,039.06. The 50 cent wager can result in some huge payoffs and post time for the fifth is tentatively scheduled for 8:40 p.m.

As if those carryovers weren’t enough to entice fans to jump into the action, the 10 cent High Five wager, which takes place on Race 10, will give fans a chance to take home a pocketful of cash as a carryover of $5,658.56 will be added to Thursday’s pool. Post time for that 10th race is tentatively scheduled for 10:25 p.m.

After Wednesday’s night’s Balmoral card produced a slew of upsets and huge payouts there will also be carryovers in the Pick 4 and Pick 5 on Saturday’s (August 8) program. Among the “bombers” that lit up the tote board on Wednesday was Revelation, who returned $140.20 on a $2 win mutuel while also keying a $9,196.71 payoff on a 10 cent Superfecta wager. Showmeyourstuff lit up the tote board to the tune of $101.60 and was selected on the Balmoral Beat pre-race show by this writer, while track announcer Dominic Polito touted fans of the pre-race show on Nice And Happy who returned a hefty $30.40 to win. In all nine of 11 winners on the card returned $11.00 or more for a $2 win wager.

Saturday’s Pick 4 carryover at Balmoral will be $2,849.59 and the wager entails races two through five while the Pick 5, which is conducted on races five through nine, will have a carryover of $4,689.08.
