Harness racing participants and fans worldwide will again be able to watch the 2-year-old races and qualifiers held at Gaitway Farm and Magical Acres all through the month of June as The First Mile, presented by onGait and produced by 412 Communications, kicks off its third season on Monday (June 5).

This week’s edition of the OHHA’s Freshman Focus will feature trainer Brian Brown.

Gaitway Farms, Manalapan, N.J., and Magical Acres, Chesterfield, N.J., will once again be hosting qualifiers/2-year-old races in June.

The Catch The Fire syndicate is proud to announce the sire will now serve a book of mares in North America and the Southern Hemisphere. James Thomas “Tom” Sweeney Jr., 88, a lifetime resident of Hadley, Mich., died May 24, 2023.

The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and Kentucky Proud Series on Friday (May 26) made the following announcement regarding the requirements for participants in the 2023 Series.

CHHA scholarship applications are due May 31, 2023. The application is available for the Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association Scholarships at www.chha.net. Completed applications, including all attachments, must be postmarked or emailed to Lisa Schwartz at mzbid777@gmail.com by May 31, 2023.

Weather permitting, qualifiers will be held at Springfield, IL on Tuesday (May 30) at 11 a.m.
