Born Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1956, on Long Island, N.Y., Thomas James Peragine, known to friends and family as Tom or Tommy, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 25, 2025, in Sacramento, Calif., at the age of 69.

The 2026 book for Loubet is now open. Loubet p,2,1:49.3 remains the only son of super-sire and leading sire in North America Sweet Lou standing in Indiana and has bred full books in his first two seasons.
