Odus Bud Davis, 95, dies
Odus Bud Davis, age 95, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 9, 2026. Bud, as he liked to be called, was born on July 25, 1931, to the late Edward and Ruth Davis in Terre Haute. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Ellen Phillips Davis, his children, grandchildren and many friends.

HHYF’s Royal Attire Retired at 21-Years-Old
The Harness Horse Youth Foundation (HHYF) spent the summer traveling and conducting programs to teach kids about harness racing in Indiana, Ohio, New Jersey, and New York. At the conclusion of the Gaitway Farm program on Tuesday, (Aug. 4), the 21-year-old standardbred gelding Royal Attire made his final rounds as an accomplished ambassador for harness racing.
