The Harness Horse Youth Foundation is pleased to announce the 2025 roster of scholarship recipients.

Supplemental payments for Breeders Crown 3-Year-Old and Open Events are due and payable on Monday, Oct. 13, at noon (EDT) in the racing secretary’s office at Woodbine Mohawk Park or the Hambletonian Society office in Cranbury, N.J.

Trotting stallion Fiftydallarbill, who won a Breeders Crown in 2017 and finished his career with more than $1 million in earnings, was humanely euthanized due to complications from Colitis-X on Sept. 10, connections reported to the USTA. He was 10.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association (OHHA) will livestream the 2025 Ohio Fairs Championship as part of “Saturday Night at the Races,” presented by the Ohio State University Veterinary Hospital, on Oct. 11 from MGM Northfield Park.

The U.S. Harness Writers Association (USHWA) is pleased to announce that the 2026 Dan Patch Awards banquet, presented by Caesars Entertainment, will return to the popular Rosen Shingle Creek resort in Orlando, FL on Sunday, Feb. 22. In addition, the Dan Patch Awards dinner will also be held at Rosen Shingle Creek in 2027 as a two-year agreement was reached.

Willard Paul Kirk White, 79 of Batavia, entered the kingdom of heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 6, 2025.
