The board of Webis, the group specializing in pool wagering and the operators of Cal Expo, the California harness track, is pleased to announce that on Tuesday (Dec. 3), its US-based Advanced Deposit Wagering business, WatchandWager.com LLC (“WatchandWager”) signed an extension with the Board of Directors of the California Exposition & State Fair in Sacramento to continue its Cal Expo harness racing operations through to May 1, 2025.

‘Storied career’ is coming to an end for Anderlecht
He’s raced against some of the best horses in history, including Hall of Fame legends Somebeachsomewhere and Foiled Again, and is still going strong at the age of 14. Anderlecht, a male pacer who got his first win at Woodbine in 2007, entered Wednesday with 18 victories this season, which is tied for third most in North America, only two fewer than leader Rusty’s Flying. And the gelding is still capable of producing memorable moments, like in June when he gave driver Bruce Ranger the 9,000th victory of his career.
Hall of Fame trotter Pine Chip, 29, dies
Pine Chip, 29, a world champion and successful stallion on both sides of the Atlantic, died at Broline Stud in Sweden. He sired two winners of the Hambletonian, Chip Chip Hooray and Scarlet Knight, and is also the sire of the dam of Hambletonian winner Muscle Massive.
