Over the years the North American Amateur Drivers Association has donated to worthy charities and this year will be no exception. On Veterans Day Monday (Nov. 11), the Monticello Raceway Harness Horsemen’s Association and the North American Amateur Drivers Association will make a donation to the Sullivan County Veterans Food Pantry in the amount of $1,000 in the winner’s circle.

The three-time National Amateur Driver of the Year sent his trusty steed, Permanent Joy, to the lead when the wings of the mobile gate folded and then made every pole a winning one en route to a 1-3/4 length victory in the Billings trot at Monticello Raceway.
