SRF seeks items for annual event
The Standardbred Retirement Foundation’s annual online auction of fabulous items is scheduled for May 28-June 4. The 30-year-old organization appreciates donations of all kinds from racing memorabilia, collectibles, trips, equine jewelry, sporting tickets, artwork, tours, and others to raise funds for the largest Standardbred adoption program in the country.
New whipping rules working at H3R
Last Sunday afternoon (May 5) the Quebec Jockey Club hosted opening day for the harness racing season at the Hippodrome 3R racetrack. Mother Nature cooperated with beautiful sunny skies, dry and warming temperatures. And despite some last minute issues, the new whipping rules were adhered to without a hitch.
