Horsemen are reminded that Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack will hold pre-meet qualifiers on March 22 (Friday) and March 26 (Tuesday) mornings, with first post at 10:00 a.m. each day. Entries will be accepted the day prior on both occasions, with the box scheduled to close at 11:00 a.m.

2019 HHYF summer schedule announced
The Harness Horse Youth Foundation has a full summer of events! Beginning with the “Ohio Grand Tour” in early June and then headed east, the HHYF schedule is full of introductory days and a couple of 3-day overnight experiences along with the popular Leadership Program which allows a more in-depth look at opportunities for involvement in harness racing.
Prix d’Amerique winner Belina Josselyn sidelined
The French trotting ballerina, Belina Josselyn is sidelined with a small fracture and will be out for a few months. She will return to racing later in the year and will aim for the Winter Meeting at Vincennes starting in November.

On a pleasant Thursday afternoon (March 14) with the sun peeking through the clouds and the temperature hovering in the mid-50s, the North American Amateur Drivers Association (NAADA) kicked off its 37th season with a trot at Monticello Raceway. When the judges hung the official sign, Joe Lee was victorious after he guided Soul Train to an easy triumph in 2:00.
