Saratoga announces guaranteed wagers in February and March
Saratoga Casino Hotel and the USTA Strategic Wagering Program will offer a guaranteed trifecta pool of $25,000 (race five) and a guaranteed $5,000 Pick-5 pool (races one-five) on Wednesday and Thursday racing programs, throughout February and March.
Gray wins four, sweeps Buffalo Raceway features
It was a great night for owner William Emmons, trainer James Clouser Jr. and driver Shawn Gray as the trio combined to sweep both featured events at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday night (Feb. 20).
Mike Merton wins seven at Monticello Raceway on Wednesday
Last week it was Austin Siegelman who put on a driving clinic at Monticello Raceway. This week it’s Mike Merton. On Wednesday (Feb. 20), Merton dominated the snowy afternoon and drove seven winners on the 12-race card.

Geez Joe primed for breakout year

Aussie trotter La Grange set for U.S. bow
Dozens of pacers hailing from either Australia or New Zealand will compete at Yonkers Raceway in the next several days, which is a common occurrence. Less ordinary is the appearance of a trotter from Down Under, but that will be the case Thursday (Feb. 21) when Australian-bred La Grange makes his North American debut for trainer Per Engblom.
