Big weekend for Stoebe at The Big M
The Fourth of July weekend at The Meadowlands will bring more than fireworks for trainer Annie Stoebe. On Friday, Stoebe will have the busiest night of her burgeoning career when she sends five 2-year-olds into the opening round of the Kindergarten Classic Series at The Big M, followed on Saturday by a trip to the $230,000 Grade 2 Stan Bergstein Graduate Series final for 4-year-old trotters with Elista Hanover.

Entries for the 2025 Meadowlands Pace, sponsored by Fashion Farms, were taken this morning and when the box closed at 9 a.m. exactly 10 3-year-old pacing colts had been declared.

The weekend of the summer solstice saw Grand Circuit races on Friday (June 20) at Yonkers with two eliminations for the MGM Messenger. Five entered the Yonkers Trot, so no elimination was required. On Saturday (June 21), we crossed the river and for the longest day of light there were two Graduate legs. They were thrillers reminiscent of the old free-for-all races of the 1950s and ’60s.
