Abuckabett Hanover finished third. Confederate, the lone 3-year-old in the race and 6-5 second choice in the betting, finished eighth after a first-over charge from the half-mile point.

On the heels of his Breeders Crown victory, Åke Svanstedt trainee Southwind Tyrion showed only dirt and dust to his pursuers with a blowout win in the $350,000 FanDuel Championship Trot at the Meadowlands on Saturday night (Nov. 25).

Captain Luke and driver Todd McCarthy found room along the pylons at the top of the stretch and finished powerfully to capture the $454,000 Governor’s Cup, for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings, Saturday night (Nov. 25) at the Meadowlands. The son of Captaintreacherous completed the mile in 1:51, giving trainer Tony Alagna back-to-back Cups, following El Rey’s victory in 2022.

Ten top 2-year-old filly trotters crowded the two-turn battle of the $428,000 Goldsmith Maid on Saturday night (Nov. 25) at the Meadowlands, with Pizzelle delivering a mild upset. Andrew McCarthy drove the daughter of Walner to victory in 1:54.

Caviart Belle took the lead on the backstretch and held off 1-9 favorite My Girl EJ in the lane to win Saturday’s (Nov. 25) $376,000 Three Diamonds, for 2-year-old female pacers, by a neck in 1:50.3 at the Meadowlands. Miraculous Deo finished third.

Odds-on choice Jiggy Jog S reaffirmed her spot atop the divisional throne with a facile victory in a final-quarter sprint to take the $175,000 FanDuel Championship for trotting mares on Saturday night (Nov. 25) at the Meadowlands.
