The Great Lakes Amateur Driving Association was busy on Saturday at Northfield Park with Henry Beachy and Larry Ferrari reaching the winner’s circle in their respective events — and then a third time with the GLADA club making a donation to New Vocations, the largest racehorse adoption network in the country.

Strawberry Fields wins second straight at Big M
Last week, Strawberry Fields dazzled in a 6-1/4-length romp in the first leg of the TrackMaster Series (with a rating of 74 or less) for fillies and mares on the pace as the 3-5 favorite, and having the target on her back in leg two proved to be no problem for the Julie Miller trainee, as she came back to score again at The Meadowlands Saturday (Oct. 28) night.
Tactical Approach adds Crown win to accomplishments
Scott Zeron captured two of the three legs of the Trotting Triple Crown with Tactical Approach by finding room inside deep in the stretch. On Saturday (Oct. 28) night, Zeron guided the son of Tactical Landing to a live third-over cover trip and then responded in the homestretch to win the $672,000 Breeders Crown for 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters at Harrah’s Hoosier Park in a 1:51.2 mile.
