Rosecroft abandons Thursday program
After abandoning its Wednesday (Jan. 28) harness racing program as a result of the continued effects of Winter Storm Fern on the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Rosecroft Raceway has also abandoned its Thursday (Jan. 29) program.

$7,500 guaranteed Pick-5 pool at Batavia Downs Thursday
After no one hit the Pick-5 wager at Batavia Downs on Tuesday (Jan. 27) afternoon, there is a $2,201 carryover pool for that wager in the first race on Thursday (Jan. 29) and the management of Batavia Downs has announced that the pool will be guaranteed at $7,500 through the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering program.
Bally’s Dover cancels Wednesday races, Thursday qualifiers
The Wednesday (Jan. 28) harness racing program at Bally’s Dover has been canceled due to continued effects of last weekend’s winter storm.
Pick-5 carryover, $20k guarantee Wed. at Yonkers
Illusion Seelster tallied at 67-1 in race 6 and The Ideal Dancer A prevailed at 24-1 in race 7 on Tuesday (Jan. 27) at MGM Yonkers Raceway, and those upsets were the catalyst to the Pick-5 wager not being hit. As a result, Wednesday’s (Jan. 28) program will include a $7,112.22 carryover and a $20,000 guaranteed pool in the sequence.

Shenandoah Downs spring meet racing applications available beginning Feb. 2
Shenandoah Downs will usher in its 11th year of pari-mutuel harness racing April 11 and continue a seven-week spring meet through May 24, with programs every Saturday and Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
